Resurrection Shoots
What is a Resurrection Shoot? It’s a ritual of capturing your spirit. You could be rising from the ashes of trauma or grief to become stronger and more beautiful than ever before. You could be turning 40 and want to fully embrace your mature feminine in the fullness of her sensual power. Maybe you have just been feeling called to this work and you don’t even know why but you yearn for more freedom.
It’s about reclaiming your feminine power when you emerge from a liminal space; an identity shift that has left you wondering, who am I? Let’s create a photo collection that leaves you breathless, knowing without a doubt you are a Queen. It’s not just a photoshoot, its a healing experience and radical act of self love.
The Resurrection Shoot is a sacred choice to release the old and claim the your new empowered identity.
Our journey to our photo shoot destination was almost as impactful as the destination itself wasn’t it? And isn’t that the real metaphor for life? I was so ready to claim my freedom because of the sheer determination and perseverance along the treacherous path. What an experience! As I sat here and watched the gallery slideshow of the images you captured at our photoshoot, I had my “Time to Rise” playlist playing in the background. I created this playlist when I needed a constant reminder to do so. As each image emerged onto my screen, I found myself reliving each and every moment that the fighter in me has emerged throughout my entire life. It’s as if each image was a final portrait of healing of every moment in my life that I thought I would never overcome. These images will serve as a constant reminder of my life’s journey, where I’ve been, where I am, and where I am going. This experience truly integrated all of the joy, pain, and hope and determination that I’ve ever felt. I’ve been told at times that I don’t fully see what others see in me, but my friend, your gift has given me so much more. You’ve given me the gift of seeing myself in a way I never have before... perfectly and beautifully who I’m meant to be...me.
I believe in you and your knowing. It is in your eyes and through your camera lens that your soul’s vision will continue helping the transformative process of all human kind thus raising up an army of inspired human beings ready to step into their ultimate strength knowing that they deserve a place in this world. I myself am honored, humbled, and truly filled with an immense amount of gratitude having had this experience with you.

Sometimes you do crazy spontaneous, amazing things for yourself and for me that was inviting Meghan into my home to walk me through short session of self-love, acceptance, and empowerment as she captured my unique features through her camera lens…this photo shoot was really more than pretty pictures, but an amazing experience that I will never forget. Meghan and I did four resurrection shoots over the course of a year and it completely changed the way that I see myself. When we did our first shoot I was really ashamed of my body and self conscious to be photographed in my nakedness. I was going through a divorce and the photoshoot was a pivotal moment in shedding my old identity as a girl in an unhappy marriage and encountering my new identity as an empowered independent woman who loves herself. -Kirsten Incorvaia

I’ve come a long way on my self love journey (as we all have) and seeing these photos of myself really felt like the grand finale! The cherry on top! An official invitation into knowing my worth! Seeing myself through your lens allows me to see with the love and admiration I so easily bestow on other women.
I see the folds of my body with my eyes and quickly look away but through the photograph I see the folds of my body and see woman, grace, and strength.
What I think I should see falls away and I see Me.
And I love Me!
